• President Director PT Dexa Medica, Ir. Ferry Soetikno, MSc., MBA. received the "Ganesa Wirya Jasa Adiutama" award from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) It was presented by the Rector of ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA. on Monday, March 2, 2015 at the West Hall, ITB, Bandung. The event was in conjunction with the 56th Anniversary of ITB.

    The "Ganesa Wirya Jasa Adiutama" Award is an award from ITB being given to the contributing parties on institutional development of the Bandung Institute of Technology. At this occasion, the "Ganesa Wirya Jasa Adiutama" was given to Ir. Ferry Soetikno, MSc., MBA (Indonesia) and Prof. Isao Takashima (Japan). The award was also given to academicians from ITB for their achievement in the field of teaching, research, and innovation.

    The Rector of ITB, Prof.Dr.Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA explained that, in conjunction with its 56th Anniversary, ITB has been presenting innovative works from academia proving that ITB has been entering the era of the entrepreneurial university. "As an institution of higher education in science and technology in Indonesia, ITB has made much effort to strengthen its role as the agent of change like encouraging and supporting the entrepreneurship initiative," Said Prof. Kadarsah in his speech.

    The award session was held after the opening session of a science-based speech by the Chairman of the Group of Scientific Planning and Development of Chemical Engineering Process, Dr. Ir. Subagjo, with the title "Spirit Restoration to Make Clothes from Stones: the ITB's Role in the National Catalysts Development".

    This award, given to Ferry Soetikno (ITB Chemical Engineering Alumni), derived from a suggestion from ITB Pharmacy School - in appreciation of Dexa Medica's contribution and support to the ITB Pharmacy School in improving the teaching and learning process in the field of pharmaceutical technology.

    The same award, "Ganesa Wirya Jasa Adiutama" had been given to Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Drs. Rudy Soetikno, Apt - Founder of Dexa Group (ITB School of Pharmacy Alumni) on June 9, 2011, where he was accredited as being the pioneer of the national pharmaceutical industry and also successfully establishing and leading PT Dexa Medica to become one of the largest pharmaceutical industries in Indonesia. The award was given in commemoration of the 91st Anniversary of Higher Technical Education in Indonesia.

    The President Director of PT Dexa Medica, Ir. Ferry Soetikno, MSc., MBA. said that the ITB Award is a form of appreciation from one of the best universities in Indonesia, for Dexa Medica's contribution to develop the pharmaceutical industry in Indonesia. "The national pharmaceutical company progress is supported by, among others, a qualified school of pharmacy graduates to make innovation in the field of pharmaceutical studies," said Ir. Ferry Soetikno.

    A number of innovative national drug development was done by Dexa Medica, namely; producing and developing the Generic Drugs with Logo (OGB) - with a high technology of pharmaceutical since 1991, developing drugs from natural raw materials in the form of Bioactive Fraction, and developing clinical trials for drugs.

    Dexa Medica is committed to continuously support the government program to produce OGB by building a new pharmaceutical factory facility that was inaugurated a few years ago. "This is to improve the production capacity, and also to make sure the quality of every Dexa Medica product is in accordance with the GMP standards," Ferry Soetikno added.

    Meanwhile, Dexa Medica Cikarang Site, West Java, which is a DLBS production facility, also contributed to produce natural active herbal pharmaceutical ingredients in the form of Bioactive Fraction. "We are the first pharmaceutical company in Indonesia which produces Bioactive Fraction from herbal ingredients," said Ferry Soetikno. Industry of Natural Extract (IEBA) permission was given in conjunction with the production facility for active pharmaceutical ingredient (bioactive fraction) inauguration (IEBA DLBS) and was conducted by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Nafsiah Mboi, spa, MPH. on August 20, 2013.
